Mr Robert Henderson is a Consultant Ophthalmologist working at Moorfields Eye Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children.
He specialises in vitreoretinal surgery for adults and children, and has a research interest in paediatric vitreoretinal conditions including genetic eye disease. He also performs complex cataract surgery in both adults and children.
He is one of only 3 specialist vitreo-retinal surgeons in the UK that performs surgery in infants and neonates for retinopathy of prematurity, and is one of a small number of surgeons worldwide who can perform endoscopic vitreo-retinal surgery.
He was a Royal College of Ophthalmologists Keeler Scholar and received fellowship training at the world renown Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto; the Royal Victorian Eye & Ear Hospital, Melbourne, and Moorfields Eye Hospital in London.
Mr Henderson has published multiple papers in peer reviewed international journals, and has written a number of book chapters.
